Figaro's rounding Alderny

So what sort of prices are they fetching. Are they still racing as a class, or have they just been dumped?..
They've got to be advertised if they're going to be sold and there isn't hardly a single one on any of the usual sites...

What would happen to performance if one added a couple of berths, a loo & a small galley & some fresh water storage tanks?

Surely the ballast tanks would work with fresh water ? As for the rest, I'd just leave it in race mode myself, be a money pit to convert to a nice cruiser and not worth it (speaking for myself).

In no way would I consider it a cruiser; but the luxury of a loo would help a lot, plus a decent bench berth, which could also provide some comfortable in port seating would not add a lot. A collapsible water tank with a small sink and a better stove might make something a lot more comfortable.
Would that cost an arm & a leg? I think not!!
Would make a fun boat to sail, although not a competitive racing one. But would that matter? Most second hand ones would possibly come with a host of sails - not all knackered one would hope!!!

I just find it odd that with so many F3's out there now (Dieppe was almost full at the end of June when I was there), there does not seem to be a rush of F2's for sale.Have F2's been dumped from the race scene, or is there still lots of racing for them. That would explain why there are few for sale as they have been bought quickly by aspiring sailors without the cash from sponsorship. How many were actually built? Does anyone know?
