two enthuiastic but inexperienced boat owners need advices and guidence on repairing thier deck. Any one able to help?

I had to completely rebuild the deck on my 30 footer to replace a rotted core.What's your problem ?
I got some experience out of that job.maybe I can pass it on to you.

The original finish has a lot of surface cracks, nothing too serious though. I wanted to make the surface safe and also to paint it. Any tips.
