I'd like to go to this in my yacht, staying over somewhere in the harbour. A friend told me that bookings had to be made for this and I am too late - is this true? Where do yo make bookings?

Too late my mate, by about 12 months
Some of us were invited - but declined.
Once is enough - besides who wants to go back to the UK S Coast.
You can always go with the other grockles by car though.

Cant help with the details cos I'm a nasty stink boat, plasticy sort of person. But its held every year from my marina in Plymouth. Usualy at my holiday time about late July and you cant move for the buggers.
Everything from rowing boats up to four masters all hundred years old or more littering up all the pontoons.

I think he means the International Festival of the Sea at Portsmouth 24-27 August!. Too late to register now anyway.. Pity, as the 98 show was excellent.
