Are there any Ferro-Cementers who could give a bit of advice please?
I need to repair some through hull damage. I am aware of the procedure for making a repair but am unable to get any information on what to use as an interface between the existing hull edges and the new wet cement when plastering up the repair. Could anyone help?

A trip to a builders merchant may be helpful. They will stock a range of concrete admixtures and should have tech sheets for them. Have you tried a google search?

I did a qick google search and the FAO site that deals with repairs to ferro cement recommend an epoxy that is used for joining new mortar to old as the primer before plastering.

The firm Sika that make the famous Sikaflex, make an epoxy bonding agent that is designed to bond wet morter to old. You should be able to get it at a hi-tech builders merchants such as Brett Building Materials.
