There is a little 'all things British' store in Key West [North America] that stocks such delicacies as Fray Bentos, Marmite, HP sauce and custard.
One of the problems I have found when trying to resupply anywhere other than the UK is the lack of variety of tinned meats in general. Plenty of Tuna, plenty of Pasta, plenty of beans, but no real red meat in tins - something I like at the bottom of a stew. Even some of the developing nations in warmer latitudes don't seem to do proper tinned meat.
ah yes, by the same token,i think Geoffrey's has FB pies, lots of brit food. He also sells Angel Delight. I think one says "Groog!" if anyone mentions Angel delight...
There are usually cats, rats etc. knocking around harbours. Bit of puff pastry some gravy, and there you have, same thing only fresher. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
We haven't seen them, or anything like them, in Holland, France, Spain, Portugal or Italy. It seems quite difficult to buy much in the way of tinned meat in any of these. Twenty different varieties and makes of tomatoes but meat - nearly forget it. We ship FB pies, tinned curries and other such delicacies out with us after every home visit. Some may scoff, but after a long passage the last thing we want to do is begin complex culinary effort. A pie in the oven before we anchor will do fine.
