I don't belong to the salmon pink sailing sailing pants brigade (tbtG), not that I'd say a word against them. I mean, they used to come round of an evening and nail my head to the floor. Great blokes. :)

My favourite trews are a pair of Regatta outdoor trousers with loads of zipped pockets (I've no connection to the company). They are synthetic and dry quickly. Sadly, SWIMBO thought that one of the knee patches was a pocket (some missing stitching), and stuck her hand in - a bit off target, but that's another story.

Sadly (again), the cost of a new pair in the swindlery is rather too salty for my pecunious pockets. Then, one day I was shopping in that emporium for house wreckers and Christmas shoppers known as BanQuo, and spotted workclothes. Lo and behold, same brand, and I think the same material, but slightly fewer pockets. The price was good too (<£20). :)

I haven't spotted any Aldi/Lidl bargains on Scuttlebutt recently (though I did buy a couple of walkie talkies some time ago following a recommendation here, still working - thanks to whoever); so, I thought I would post this bargain notice for any tightwad lurkers here!

No, I've no connection with BanQuo either, and I didn't spot any pink ones - but I guess that Bob the Builder hasn't come out yet. Time will tell.

Merry Christmas!

T K Max is worth a look for outdoor clothing, if there's one near you.
You could always wear a disguise if worried about neighbours seeing you shop there:)

Just google "regatta clothing" and you will find loads of companies that do mail order and loads of stockists.

The zipped pockets are a must so that you don't loose stuf. Great product, been buying them for years.

My favourite sailing trousers for a long time back in the 70s were pink and the only place I could find them was at the wonderful Harwoods in Yarmouth IOW. Wonder if they still do them.
