Dear fellow sailors,
For a University assignment I'm looking into Sailing destinations around the world and their popularity. What would be great is if you could all help and just post a quick response below stating where you like to sail most of all, particuarly on holiday!

Many thanks

Alasdair

P.S. I'll kick start and say that although I love the West Coast of Scotland I've always been interested in sailing around Thailand/Philippines.

Firth of Lorn around Shuna, Crinan, Jura, Gigha. A magical place to sail.

Maldives, Devon/Cornwall (south coast), SW Ireland, Baltic, Atlantic France, BVIs, Channel islands, Suffolk Rivers and.....

The Solent....

Firth of Lorn

The Firth Of Lorn Is not that magical; unless you are right and Jura, Gigha etc. have managed to migrate into it.

Gigha, Islay, Skye, Eigg, Pulldobhrain, Lundy, Padstow, Fowey. W Scotland has no shortage of fantastic spots, all you need is the weather!

What's your point? The waters around the places I mention is my favourite sailing area.
