A very long time ago we used to have a gas cooker and a kettle that had a base with holes in the side and a cool of wire in it and it did seem to boil fairly quickly though I would have no idea now on the time taken for 1 litre to boil.
So now I have acquired an Origo 3000 for a folkboat project and have been hoping to find a kettle of suitable dimensions and efficiency to use onboard. Ideally, it would have around an 18cm diameter base.
Has there been any gas kettle speed comparisons posted anywhere? Or has anyone tried comparing the speed of boiling using different kettles?
Thanks
