I am trying to prepare charts for a GPSMap 400t. This plotter uses Garmin BlueChart G2 charts. Garmin do not provide charts for the part of the world I am working on, so we are creating our own (We are well qualified to do this!)
I am aware of software such as cGPSMapper, GPSMapedit and so on; I have successfully used these before to create maps of Antarctica for units such as the aeronautical GPSMap 296.
Does anyone know of any problems, hints or tips about creating charts for this unit? For logistic reasons (I am in Cambridge, the plotters are in the Antarctic) I cannot lay my hands on the plotter itself.
