My graphics that read Targa 31 on the side of the boat have crazed and gone a bit mankey, ive spoken to a couple of companys who said if a took a tracing they could reproduce them. problem is, not in the original colour/finish as there so bad you cant tell what they should be like. one company who are marine specialist claim they dont know what there like.Fairline dont do them anymore and cant tell me who made them, most helpful ERRR.Any ideas?

Hi Ian
I had this problem with my graphics last season, I used masking tape, and enamel paint, took a while and a bit fiddly, but looks great now.
Not sure how old your Targa is, but the older colours are basically, navy blue and postbox red.
Regards
James

Mine are a bit mangy, too. Most graphics companies can work from a PDF, so I'll see if I can get them traced and done as a PDF file...

If you require new graphics try David Harman of Windsor tel 01753 831678 or 07956 586 721 . I have just used him for stripes and rename for my Corniche and found him helpful and enthusiastic and I am very pleased with his work.

Might be a lost lead- but have you looked through/obtained any sales literature from circa '94? Fairline sent me some copies of just that for my Weekend, and they had the logo. From there a grapics company can scan- you would just need to measure off size from your boat for them to scale up. I deal with graphics comanies at work and they seem to be pretty clever at cleaning up/interpreting text.

Good luck.

I took a digital photo and put it on a floppy, measured the letters, and took the info to a firm at the bottom of Kings head Hill/Sewardstone Road, Chingford E4, and they made me up a name for "Edge of time", which duplicated the sign written name already on the boat, now I cannot remember which side is plastic and which is paint.
