Hi All,
Thank you for letting us join you.
We have recently purchased a 2001 Fairline Targa 43 which is great but the previous owners replaced the folding cockpit table with a tiny teak one. Really impractical. So I’m locking for a larger folding replacement. Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the original folding table please as I am keen to get the right one.
Cheers

@Denibry and @petem - If this had been posted a few hours earlier and I had seen this - I could have measured mine as I left the boat yesterday to go home.

The one I have fitted is not an original Fairline but the same size as the original Plastic white one which came as standard - I cant remember the name off the top of my head who made it but that would be no good anyhow as they seem to have stopped making them since Covid.
So your options maybe either to get a bespoke one made up or try James Barke at Boats.co.uk as he / his company changed mine out (via the previous owner) and could possibly have a spare one kicking about or try facebook groups Fairline Targa 43 owners or Fairline Owners

Is the boat you got from Essex by Chance ? you can DM me if you wish

This is what the original table would have looked like

This is the one that I have

At a pure guess you would be looking at the table length of about 5ft when opened out.

Hi Jon and Michie, Thanks for replying. No, our boat was from Christchurch. I have priced a bespoke teak table and it was £4k which is just not realistic. ☹️

Totally get that £4k is steep - like I said try boats.co.uk they may have a spare one kicking about their workshop.
Ref Christchurch - not sure if I have messaged you via Facebook ref shower rollers?

Mine came from a company called Marine teak @ the cost of £895 back in 2016 - As said earlier not many around which I think has something to do with the Tree Huggers and environmentalist's then Covid.
there is a company in Oz that still make tables but how far do you want to go - As a suggestion - you could look at patio tables and see if can be adapted

Marine teak closed due to legislation banning the import of teak products.
The company in Indonesia that makes them is still operating..
If you have a means of import then contact the manufacturers.

You could contact someone like Russell Rennison who works with teak (based on south coast ) and might be able to suggest ideas/craft a suitable replacement. He repaired our teak cockpit table and so would recommend him.
