I don't know about the Red Jet, AIS generally shows them as running between 32 and 37 knots.
I had the hammer all the way down, log was reading 38 knots from Cowes to Calshot, we had pulled a modest amount ahead, so I guess he was running about 35 ish knots.
I was about to build a pair of Cummins 6bt's with help from Latestarter when I got offered a zero hours pair of 1996 Perkins Sabre M265Ti which put out 240hp.
480hp in a 3.75 ton boat....
They will wind up to 285hp, but that requires some gearbox work, 1.375" shaft upgrade and new props, it'll have to wait, my wife wants heating!
BLO*DY GRRRREAT !!!!!!!............... LOVE the power out the exhaust nozzles !!!....... just one question, WHY is it never that calm when im out to play ??......hohum
Congratulations, a real masterpiece indeed.
The high speed stability (without the slightest hint of porpoising), and also while steering (towards the end of the video) is what impressed me most.
Looks like the hull is telling you, is this all you've got? Gimme more power!
