Am trying to purchase a facnor behind mast reefing 4CF65.
Anyone had any experience of these and are they easy DIY fitting?
Have a wide variation in quotes for the above, Where is the cheapest dealer to
buy?

Moonbeam.

I had Facnor behind mast reefing on our Westerly 33 and was pleased with it for ease of use. The continuous line made life easier, and friction didn't seem too much of a problem.

I had it fitted by Eurospars, who supplied it, so have no experience of DIY fitting, but it seemed fairly straightforward.

The only downside was the noticable decrease in sail area and consequent performance loss, although as a confirmed cruiser this was not a major problem. My current boat has single line reefing with a fully-battened main, and I've been pleased with how easy this is, even single-handed.
