Has anyone interfaced a weatherproof IP camera via Raynet to a Raymarine Axio Pro chart plotter screen? I’m looking for an inexpensive IP camera not the Raymarine one.
External camera interfaced with Raymarine Axiom Pro chart plotter.

Yeah i bought a car reversing camera around 4 years ago and plugged in it. Works great and lasted BUT the angle achieved didn't fully achieve what i wanted! I'll try and find the link i posted on here.

You will need to find an IP camera that supports H.264, Onvif and a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Most important is that the camera allows Onvif authentication to be disabled. This is hard to find in new cameras. I managed to pick up a Dahua nv-ib2b40-zs from ebay really cheap. I also got a Raynet to Raynet cable, chopped one end off and connected a RJ45 plug. The camera is connected to the Axiom via a cheap Ethernet switch that supports POE to supply power to the camera. With the camera TCP/IP settings configured to auto, video resolution set to 1920×1080 and onvif authentication disabled, the camera works a treat on my Axion 7. I've tried other cameras from Hikvision and Annke, but without the ability to disable the onvif authentication, they aren't compatible.

On hikvision cameras you should be able to disable onvif from network - advanced-integration protocol.

Onvif needs to be enabled but set to no authentication. My Hikvision requires authentication.

Ah ok, it’s the auth that needs to be disabled on onvif. There must be third party cameras out there like the raymarine/garmin ones. I wonder who makes the cameras for them?

There was some additional refinement made by another user (5TC) on page 2 who worked out a better configuration for the IP address range that improved the setup. Mine is in the engine room but Axiom does support multiple cameras as you will see in my post.
Make sure you choose a camera that is 12v, not a POE version.

Gadinan 8MP 5MP 4MP H.265 worked for me any many others (from - Aliexpress)
The post on the Sealine forum (see post 9) has a lot of information that you will find useful. I realise it is a pain to create another account on another forum

Does it have to be an IP camera ? If you just want a fixed camera the Axiom Pro has an analogue video input. I have a Garmin GPSMAP with analogue input and have fitted a HiKVision camera to the underside of the radar arch to cover area behind the boat when helming from the lower helm as there's too may blind spots. Works fine for this purpose and cost £28.99 Pardon our interruption...

Not sure if it helps, but after extensive searching I came up with a camera from SV3C on Amazon which is this one
I have not yet tested it on the Axiom (waiting for my 12V POE HUB and Raynet adapter cable), but it worked on my local network on an Android phone using TinyCAM and no username and password was required. SV3C responded to ne saying that the ONVIF is not authenticated and I have asked for where the actual setting is should one wish it later if not in use on the boat. It is also 12v as well as POE
It is a robust metal case, the image can be rotated/mirrored/flipped and at £39 seems well worth a punt.
Description (as they do several different cameras) is;
SV3C 5MP PoE CCTV Security Camera Outdoor, Cameras House Security with 20M IR Night Vision, Security IP Camera Outdoor with Human/Vehicle Detection, Build-in MIC, SD card & Cloud, Waterproof, No WIFI
I will probably try it in a few weeks time and report back.

You can record images and video from numerous IP cameras. You can't with the analogue cameras and it only supports one unless you use an external video switcher.

I can confirm that the SV3C camera (806POE-5MP-HX) I linked to in an earlier post now works on my Axiom+. These cameras are set essentially the same way as per the guide Father Ted posted with the exception that they run at a resolution of 2880x1620.
I configured 2 cameras through a Teletonika automotive router (provides POE) and then connected to a Raymarine HS-5 hub. The POE seems to work fine with the source being 12v.
Both cameras can be viewed side by side on the Axiom.
The only feature that fails to work is the 'calibrate' option from the Axiom where it fails to display the camera login page and just shows a message of 'incorrect password' and no option to try again. This shouldn't be an issue if the cameras are preconfigured, or you can plug a laptop into the hub and access them from there. I am not sure if the 'uniview' option in the OVNIF settings might help but I will try in a couple of weeks.
I am still struggling with the camera I bought from Revodata as although all the settings are correct (and it will run at HD) and no trouble on a PC network or viewing using TinyCAM on my phone, it seems the axiom keeps somehow resetting the video settings back to their default 8K and H265 and thereafter the camera just endlessly cycles through connect/disconnect loops driven by some Axiom requests. One last thing I will try in a couple of weeks is to enable/disable a setting for the ONVIF 'All Subnet Onvif' option. I think this is a case of actual incompatibility with how Raymarine implemented ONVIF.
