Our flex-o-fold propeller has worn out to such a degree that it needs to be replaced with a new one. The prop is now 15 years old. It's my estimate that we did about 15.000Nm on the engine during this time frame.
My idea is that replacing the prop after 15 gears/15.000 Nm is normal and to be expected.

I guess it depends upon its internal mechanics, I do not know specifically the FoF but fwiw I have had three feathering propellers all used say 4-5k hours and still not needing servicing. 15000nm/6kt =2500ish hours seems quite a short period before having to replace it, I d surely take that into account when deciding about which new propeller.

If you are in the UK suggest you take it to Darglow darglow.co.uk who are the Flexofold distributors. They will be able to advise if it can be refurbished.

My Brunton folding 3 blade prop is 15 years old. The pivot pin holes wore slightly oval. 18.1mm holes with 18mm duplex pins. I spoke to Brunton who said it can't be refurbished and I would need a new one at £4000.
My local machine shop bored out the 3 holes on the hub and blades to 18.1mm round and made new 18.1mm duplex pins. All the wear has gone and it's good for another 15 years, hopefully.
Try a machine shop first
