Hi - I hear the main route out of the River Exe is now the 'short cut' around no.8 buoy. Does anyone know how much water there is in this channel at LWS (as we have now).

Just wondering when I'll be able to get out & back in this week - bilge keeler drawing 3ft.

Cheers

Mike

With today's LW 0.0 and pressure 1023 you'll remove the barnacles off the bottom of your keels and slide to a gentle halt on sand but no problem hour either side. Same passage as last 2 year's though there is a second ridge which can be disconcerting when you think you're clear! New Swashway not yet buoyed but then Exeter only promised it for the beginning of May. I went out less than an hour after LW last Sat (0.4) and had .5m under keel drawing same as you. Pressure and tide dropping at end of week so probably no problem at LW by Friday.
