Exactly what is going on in windermere?

Have been contacted by a gentleman who is selling boat on Lake Windermere.Did I hear correctly that all power boats are banned from the lake.Is that all power craft or just speedboats and PWC.

The powers that be on Windmere saw how successfully the Environment Agency are chasing boats off the Thames and were jealous. They had the bright idea of imposing a speed limit and are now clapping their hands gleefully as companies earning their living off motor boats go bankrupt because peeps are moving their craft off Windemere.

I dont think there being banned but the speed limit is going to be ten mph/knots/kms/ bananas. Depends I suppose what the measurment is by then. It was in five years time but I've forgot when the counting started!

Latest Ive heard is lots of boats moving to scotland. loch Ness I think

A blanket 10mph speed limit is going to be imposed at some point in the future (sorry, haven't got the exact date at my fingertips but I'll get it for you if someone doesn't beat me to it).
