Last Sunday tr7v8 Canboria and myself returned to the marina after testing the port engine, only to find the lock gates out of action. As they were not likely to get fixed for hours we moored on the waiting pontoons, with apologies and assurances from MDL staff that they would keep an I on my boat and several others mooring outside, via the cameras.
Later that day (me back home) they phoned to say the gates had been fixed and offered to toe her in my absence. I declined and said I would be back Monday to bring her in.
More apologies on arrival at the Marina. Today I received a letter of apology with an offer of 10% discount off my next fuel fill as a gesture of good will.
