Ever improving MDL

Last Sunday tr7v8 Canboria and myself returned to the marina after testing the port engine, only to find the lock gates out of action. As they were not likely to get fixed for hours we moored on the waiting pontoons, with apologies and assurances from MDL staff that they would keep an I on my boat and several others mooring outside, via the cameras.

Later that day (me back home) they phoned to say the gates had been fixed and offered to toe her in my absence. I declined and said I would be back Monday to bring her in.
More apologies on arrival at the Marina. Today I received a letter of apology with an offer of 10% discount off my next fuel fill as a gesture of good will.

I did hear that the gates had been jammed by what were later identified as a mixture of pot noodle cartons and old curtains of some sort.

Do you know havent had a PN on the boat for ages, and as for my net curtains there staying put, even though shes up for sale. Reckon your missus would like a proper boat Fred how about it.

As it appens according to the letter it was "the failure of a guaranteed component" which caused the problem, not lack on maintenance.

Naa hasna got a P anywhere in the name,and anyway only got a small washing machine.
Boat now at Rochester.Managed to get radar going this morning,removed dome and had a poke about.Trying to find source of heater ducting for Ardic any ideas.
