EVC\'s delay in shift
Out this morning, fantastic!
My boat is only six weeks old and I have already posted about the EVC's not having been set up properly by the dealer as the syncro that matches both engines speeds was'nt operating, sorted that issue and she will have the EVC's re-set at first service.
Today I noticed that the shift either to forward or astern is very much either on or off and the gear change is noticably there as if you banged your stick shift car from gear to gear without a clutch (does'nt sound any worse than any cable shift set up though). I thought there was supposed to be an electronic delay from shift to shift that ironed out that clunck as you engage gear.
Could this be another problem with the EVC's not set up correctly or is this normal. The last boat was with EDC's and there was a definite delay in shifting but you still had that clunck as you shifted.
Any thoughts please.
