We very happy with deal on new doral elegante. We bought our present boat august 2005 then re-engined with brand new styre 260 hp ,added webasto heating, mastervolt 3kw inverter ,full camper cover, spotlight, new self launching anchor that realy does self launch,echo pilot,fish finder,& a load more little bits & still covered cost of boat & additions in px.
If anyone wants the best 2005 rinker 250 diesel on the market it will be available from april this year at EBY!

My recent trip trip to the yard was not a resounding success.Tucked away in the back of their yard was a Princess 315 which we had looked over in Allington Marina a couple of years previously and prompted by the wife nipped over to the sales office to ask for the keys.Was abruptly told that the boat was open and to look round by myself.
The boat was of course firmly locked and as could not be bothered to trudge back to office made do with a glance through the patio doors.The boat when we had first seen it was a buyers dream,it still had some of the plastic sheets protecting the cushions in place and was more or less as new and the asking price reflected that.
A look in the window this time told a sorry tale,water damage to many of the varnished surfaces and a real scruffy look to the whole thing.How this had happened in two short seasons was mystery.The price by the way was exactly the same as was being asked two years previously for what was then a pristine boat.

I wonder how many boats in yards awaiting sale have their anodes replaced, have basic maintainance done - I fear very few.

If a boat does not sell withing the season that it is overpriced for the market - how someone can hold an pricve that is already too high and apply it to an older an older badly maintained boat is beyond me.

Its also beyond me that they did not accopany you to show you the boat.

We went down there last weekend, wanted to take some measurements on a second hand version of the boat we are getting. They couldn't have been more helpful, Though it is a self service boatyard. You look on your own, then if you are interested you go see them in offices. No salesmen telling you they have got fifty other people interested in that particular boat.
Perhaps oldgit gave them the impression he is really an oldgit!
They do get a great many time wasters & in this case perhaps they misjudged. after all no one is perfect, not even old gits /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
