Yes, that is all I could imagine could be done, which makes me wonder why sees around that they should be sent off for "servicing by professionals".

In our own case the triggers have seals and no one else uses the boat, so if not broken and gauge is in the green must be full.

(Am only talking about the littler ones here).

Unless the needle's stuck. I solemnly take mine off, invert and shake them every time I visit the boat. I think we may be whistling in the dark, though. The only person I know who had a real fire on a yacht said he couldn't believe how puny the extinguishers were against it and how many he needed to put it out.
