Epropulsion boat show offers likely?

I'm looking to buy an Epropulsion Spirit 1 plus and wondered if it was worth hanging on until the Southampton Boat show. Have any of you had a good deal on this at previous shows?
 
Last time I went to the show a few years back, I thought it was more for the manufactures to advertise and give technical advise on their products rather than bargains.
I do get the impression that epropulsion tells the dealers what to sell at and if they charge less, epropulsion won't supply the dealer.
 
I was trying the same and never had any luck, finally just bought earlier this year as I needed something for this years cruising. Had really good service from Ian at Nestaway Boats - Electric Outboards & Portable Boatshe’s a forum member
Did get free storage bags for both outboard and battery though.

I must add, used a few times over this last month and really impressed
 
I have been impressed with mine. To recharge, I use a Renogy solar panel (£160 in sales/with discount codes) and the ePropulsion solar controller (£90 from usual places).

I've also been known to carry it into pubs (if it's not too far from the dinghy dock) and ask to use a nearby mains socket whilst we eat/drink!

Yes, this. Free bags, and I manipulated an interest free credit card, complete with free "award points" so as to make the purchase slightly less painful.

The pricing arrangement is clearly a cartel of some sort.
It's the same for accessories, such as the solar charge controller mentioned above.

Happy with the motor, so far...

It appears that it’s not an expulsion item but manufactured by EM, would be interested if Ian from Nestaway will look as getting some imported.
 
I prefer the steel bar plus padlock across the mounting bolts. I don't think that the battery lock looks very strong. Might be wrong though; but how strong is 3D printer plastic ?

I leave my battery disconnected from the motor and 'chained' up to the thwart plus remove the kill cord.
 
That is a print of a free 3D design. I have one I made from the shared design. It fits well but is a deterrent that can be smashed with a hammer by a thief if so inclined.

My eprop spirit has a MOTORLOC Atlantic slot lock. Excellent. Solid stainless, and a lot less than £125. Have had several of these on different boats over the years.

Wire strop and/or bike chain to secure the battery. Limited by the "strength" of the battery itself? I am therefore attracted to the "shielding arrangement" of the battery latch lock, but it needs to be ABS, alloy, or something more resistant to get my money.
