Obviously, it depends on the application. But I'd be wary - it is basically an epoxy resin in a very fluid form. So it will form a non-breathable seal on the wood; which will seal damp IN as well as out. So, if the wood isn't bone dry, you could be creating perfect conditions for rot to thrive.
