Hi, need the forums advice.
I have purchased a bit of a project that needs a bit of work!
I have now progressed onto the engine. (a Ford Tempest) The previous owner cut the engine instrument panel wiring, so I need to rewire it.
I guess it is just a case of tracing back the sender units for each instrument. The problem I have is the engine switch. What wires should go where?
There are four terminals on it, so I guess one must be positive feed, positive instruments feed, preheat and start?
Presumably the start must go to the starter motor, the preheat to the heat plugs and the positive feed from the battery switch?
The best thing of all, all eighteen wires are red!
An idiot’s guide would be much appreciated
