Engine Protection Spray

Does anyone used/recommend a spray for protecting the outside of an (inboard) engine? One that would prevent corrosion, protect electrics but not leave a nasty sticky mess.

ACF-50 which you can get from a variety of places including motorbike shops is pretty effective. Unfortunately I have found that anything which will achieve the first two objectives will also make the surfaces treated a bit more attractive to dust and grit. It's a dilemma really.

I think you will find it advertised as Corrosion Block. I use it all the time.
