We are wanting to renew the mounts on our Perkins 4108 fitted with a Paragon hydraulic G.box. Any help to source same at reasonable cost will be most appreciated. The weight of our engine/g.box is around 280kg

Source For Perkins Mounts

I renewed the mounts on my Perkins 4236 with original Perkins mounts from the following: -

Finning Power Systems
19 Witney road
Poole
Dorset
BH17 0GL

Tel: 01202 330715
Fax: 01202 330771
E-mail: jwithey@finning.co.uk
Part Nos 26350005, 26350006, 2314F107, 2318A210

The first 2 numbers are for the front and rear mount the second 2 numbers are for the nut and screw. I don't know if the 4236 is the same as the 4108 mount. A few so called approved Perkins dealers around the UK said they were redundant (Engine is from 1975) but they are not. The Advice Note that came with the mounts had the Perkins Engine Company Parts Distribution Centre address on it.

You can also get them from Transatlantic Diesels, www.tad123.com if you are on that side of the pond.

Perkins 4236 Engine Mount Pictures

Following on from my previous post I have included a couple of pictures of the original and new mounts which may help. I did look at alternative mounts but they required new holes in the beds to mount. It should be noted that the mounts for the 4236 are so called "slim line" to lower the height of what is quite a tall engine.

Dear Sir
I am interested in the Engine Mount pictures
of the original and new mounts. I read you have attached the pictures, but I don't find them anywhere.
Can you please attach them again? I have a Finnsailer 35 with a Perkins 4236M engine, and I need to renew the mounts as well.
Regards,
Jraadshoj
