Is that an Iroquois with an aero-rig in the middle pic? Looks intriguing. In a tech-ahead-of-its-time, Citroen DS, kind of a way.DId not need the penetrating oil as the flange had come loose whilst away fron the boat. The one mount I took off was totally destroyed, no wonder the bolt snapped. Managed to re tap m8 holes which is good for the new mount.View attachment 206454
There is a 30 foot Daz Cat at Hayling island with the same rig.Is that an Iroquois with an aero-rig in the middle pic? Looks intriguing. In a tech-ahead-of-its-time, Citroen DS, kind of a way.

It just keeps getting worse. I have to speay wd40 inside to make it work. I think there is no oil.leak, just a build up of wd40 inside the bendix.Nice Bendix!
Standard WD40 isn't really a lubricant or penetrating oil, it's a "Water Displacement" product (hence the WD in it's name). The pinion/shaft of the bendix might be sticky/rusty etc and need stripping and cleaning with a light oil applied to smooth it's action? It just keeps getting worse.
