Engine help

Hi newbie here just purchased 1st boat I'm trying to find out what engine is it I've found few numbers on side from what I can c it is very similar to mercedes 636 just looking some clarification as I'm not 100%

Numbers found on side 6360160

It needs a gd overhaull definitely a service then go from there attached is few pics I have off it any help appreciated.

Your correct its definately an OM 636

Thought as much just few bits looked slightly different maybe upgrades over the years just need to be able to get service parts sorted.
