Does anyone know the whereabouts on Volvo AD41P's where I would find the above. I've searched all over engine & heat exchangers but can't find any....now wondering if they were ever fitted. Boat is a Sealine 330 Statesman 1997 with stern drives

Anodes are sometimes on the drives only, also check for a square headed bung on back end of heat exchanger

Heat exchanger and maybe oil cooler. Square nut as said. Some have them some dont.

I've just been informed this week, that they can be more trouble than there worth, filling the heat exchangers with cr*p.

So dunno now.

Hmnn; filling ther heat exchanger with cr*p; that would be zinc chloride etc, surely better than tin chloride and the heat exchanger fallling apart ?

You already asked this question on Reader to Reader

My reply there was:

Two places I would look to find out the answer .... but you can do it!

One is the parts catalog which you will find HERE

The other is the owners manual.

Which you can download from HERE if you have mislaid your copy.

The only likely place on an indirectly cooled engine is in the seawater circuit of the heat excahnger.

There are of course anodes on the stern drives but I guess you know about those and the importance of replacing them before they are too far gone.
