Engel fridge wiring diagram

Does anyone have a detailed wiring diagram for an Engel dual voltage fridge, ideally an SRT5108AF or similar.

The one in the manual I have jut spent two hours searching for is useless, as is the Engel fault finding guide.

Works just fine on 240v, won't switch to 12v when shore power is turned off.

I used to have an old Engel portable fridge. It had a vibrating compressor than ran on 50 hertz AC (don't know what voltage) The fridge had a transformer from 240vAC to that required for the compressor. Using this transformer also was a 2 transistor inverter circuit to provide the AC when running on 12v supply. The transistors were germanium type (old). I imagine there was a fuse somewhere in the 12v supply because these transistors are susceptible to going short circuit. Being old style they had a relatively low breakdown voltage.
So while I can't give you a circuit I can suggest you disconnect the wires off the 2 transistors and check for short circuit especially between collector and emitter. ie metal body and one of the wire pins. Resistance will be well below .1 ohm if it is dead and read hundreds or more ohms using a DVM if OK. If one or both transistors are dead it might be a bit difficult finding replacements.
I find with my Engel that eventually the valves in the compressor failed and it was going to cost more than it was worth to me to replace the compressor. It made a noise but did not get cold. I hope this is of some use olewill
Note when I describe the circuit as an inverter. It is nothing like a modern inverter. It is more like a push pull audio amplifier with feedback to make it oscilate at 50 hertz using a transformer as a tuned circuit.
PS does your Engel automatically switch to 12v when AC is off. If so may be a completely different model and mode of operation.
My old one required a different power cord making different connections from 240vAC to 12vDC.

Thanks for that. I have found out more about the Engel compressor which uses a piston that acts like a solenoid plunger, so s very simple.

However, I today found the problem that mine wouldn't change to 12v was due to a poor fuse contact. Now looking to bin all the old fashioned fuses in favour of miniature MCBs
