Enforced Sale

'Unfortunately' our current boat needs nothing doing to it, not a penny to be spent. Which is a damn shame in some respects if only because it means I can't now go to Boat Jumbles with any great enthusiasm. Bargain hunting at such events used to be one of my great joys! :)

Thats only because you have not found what is broken yet.

There is no such thing as a boat that requires nothing doing/fixing/fettling......

Oh dear the dangers of replying to resurrected old threads, sadly pheran will not be replying but there was indeed nothing that needed fixing on his Boat :)

Byron, we're is Pheran? Hopefully just left the YBW fold and nothing more serious.
Sadly Chris passed away on Christmas Day. He was Commodore of the Oxford Ditch at the time. His wife Anne is still a member and will be crewing Margaret Rennie up here on Margarets boat 'White Panther' to attend an ODCC rally.

Oh, this isn't my usual forum but I'm very sorry to hear Pheran has passed away, I did know he wasn't a well man but it's still a shock! He was one of those contributors I took notice of his posts. Commiserations to his family.

Sad to hear about Pheran, I had several conversations with him. Nice chap. Nice to see White Panther is still going strong though Byron :-) I'm ex UTMYC....

Chris's wife Anne arrived here today together with Margaret Rennie and other friends aboard Margarets boat ' White Panther' They've left the boat and gone home but will be back for the Oxford Ditch Rally here this weekend. Anne has sold their boat but remains a member of all clubs, it is noticeable how many widows there are in the clubs these days.
