Elephants Ear on a Bun

Do you ever feel that you are looking for something quite simple but cant find it or know what it is called.

I have removed the old heavy fiberglass housing for the old (Broken) chart plotter from my Sealine S24 and fitted a new garmin. In the dash there is a hole about 50 mm dia that I would like to cover but also let the wires come out.

I am looking for what I would describe as a white plastic domed cable outlet with a flange so I can screw fix it to the dash all about 75mm ish dia.

I have searched for ages and remembered a line in Faulty Towers where the chap said it wasn't as if he was asking for an Elephants ear on a bun.

Anyone any ideas if not I will have to make one

I found what I wanted and will do the job well. It is called a brick Buster Plate of all things

It's called a "Brick buster plate" because when the sky engineers drill a hole from inside the property they bust the faces off the face bricks on the outside. They stick it on with silicone to hide the bodge. (all true)

If that is the sort of thing you are after you may want to consider a "deck side entry gland". No real difference except it's water tight and arguably may look better in situ.
