Hi all

Just picked up my new boat and a trying to figure out some bits and have a couple of questions.

Does anyone know how to change the language on a furuno gp31? For some reason mine is in French and I would like to get it back to English.

Is it possible to interface with the radio? It is a dsc radio and there is a gps connector off the back but it doesn't appear to have been connected.

Can the st60 multi be hooked in as well? It would be nice to have a repeater in the cockpit.

Sorry for all the questions. It's a steep learning curve and this is the home of those who know :D

NMEA output to external instruments is white & blue. (Green is for input.)
Yellow can be used to output to a PC.
Language can be selected under menu - sys. setup.

Can't find anything under param-sys to indicate the ability to change languages, is mine just too old?

My GP32, which I thought was virtually identical, offers about 6 languages.
Apologies if the GP31 is different in that respect.
Seems odd for Furuno to have offered an exclusively French version.
I've found Furuno UK helpful.

GP31 language

Ours is in german - no way to change it that I can find. The menu tree appears to be the same as the english version so I set it using that and rarely change anything. It finds a fix very quickly despite its age and feeds everything else on the boat with NMEA efficiently.

That's encouraging at least. Ours isn't currently feeding anything else and I didnt want to try and connect it all up if there is a language issue.

I have navionics on the iPad as well so I guess it can stay for now - even in French!
