I bought a new to me boat just under a year ago, it's a Princess 435 with Volvo 61a engines.
There is on the dash lights when ignition is on what I can only describe as a little picture of a coil.
When the engines run these lights stay on, I would have thought they go out once running?
i don't have a charging problem batteries are fine, so my questions are:
1. What do these lights represent
2. Should they go out when engines are running
3. If they should go out what is the possible cause and what damage can it cause?

All suggestions gratefully received!

Sounds like a heater plug warning light. i don't know if that engine has heater plugs but even if it doesn't, chances are it's the standard VP alarm unit that includes a heater plug light.
