I have come across this "Boatsonic: ultrasonic antifouling for boats" while looking at weed control alternatives for watercourses!

Has anyone heard of it, seen it, or had any feedback aout its use???

I have never seen it in a sailing mag?

Link is right here

Many boats I've looked at in the US have them fitted and they seem to work. Called Barnaclean, I think. They emit a high frequency, periodic clicking noise, which, if you are live-aboard can be a little annoying. Otherwise, they seem quite popular.

Hi there, we sell these things, they only need to be on 3/24 max, but can be more if you are connected to mains. They peak at 20W but operating power is usually between 5 and 7 W, so current draw is much less.
