Does anybody know of a specialist based on the West coast of Scotland that can trace current leakages?

Can you tell us what the symptoms are? There are many causes of corrosion in propellors, several of them have little to do with current leakage.

I understand from your PM that it is an aluminium prop. Is it a Volvo one on a saildrive? If so, this is a well-known problem. These props have an isolating bush that separates them from the drive shaft, so that there is no anode. Unfortunately the only protection that can be given is a good paint system. I suggest you try an etch primer followed by a polyurethane paint.
