starting to replace bits on the boat today to discover that the Garmin GPS 182 apears to have "died" over the winter. Before I take screw drivers and knife to casing would anyone know if this model has a replaceable memory battery or do I have to visit the chandlers?

some GPS models just need to be connected up to power for a couple of hours, as they have a rechargeable internal battery.

Worth a try before you dissect it ?
