electics....Help

can anyone point me in the right direction please..

At present i'm doing refit, there are on electics onboard what so ever..not even a bilge pump!
Are there any good sites or forums (sorry YBW.com)
that can help me out in using the right gear and how to wire everything up-having not done this before and want to learn!
..She has a 200hp mercruiser engine, i want to run two batteries and one for starting and the other for pump,lights etc..just not sure what 12v wiring to use throughout and how to set it all up.
any ideas on recharging? ..what wattage solar panel would i need for a 100amp and 170amp batteries and is the best way????? sorry for all the questions!!

Merlin Equipment can provide a complete system including instructions. You used to be able to down load a PDF with a description of all the components, but I can't find it on their site any more.

But as Vic says, do lots of reading and then do some more!

THIS is a good book, it's American so you have to convert wire gauge to mm. Everything I've done on my boat so far I've used Ancor Marine wire and components which is what the author uses anyway.
