As demonstrated for all to see at the 'Conference' Yesterday. The elderly really do not know what is and isn't acceptable behaviour!!!!

In some other European countries, search and rescue authorities receive public funding + other subsidies, those funds would be reduced if a reduction in yearly expenses would occur, hence SAR services sometimes launch their lifeboats even when there is not any need--> one more mission, a bit more expenses to add up to be nearer to the forecasted yearly budget and ensure following year funding..
could it be the case in the uk as well ?

Ooh, I'd loved to have met them. I think the police interviewed them after they got back, though what for I don't know. They have done absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever. Sounds like the same cops who arrested an 82 year old man in Brighton on a terrorist charge for having the gall to object to a whole lot of Iraqi spin from Jack Straw.
