Wonder what will happen to boat prices if Armageddon does occur and all us old people are culled. Will boat prices drop through the floor as the market is flooded with old boats?

Who can say?
The boatbuilders could struggle to deliver anything this year and good used boats might not be coming onto the market.

LOL everything will equal out if stockmarket crashes and if UK and US and EURO print trillions because your money will not be worth much and you won't have as much as before.

Well if you kept your money in stocks & shares or Bitcoin then you probably can't affford the old prices anymore anyway.

Boat prices will go through the roof for a while - everyone will want to get offshore and away from infectious people on shore. However, then money will become worthless but the barter value is huge in the post-apocalyptic society.

Volatility can be your friend. A lot of people sold every single shares weeks ago when Tesla made 48%+ in a few weeks. Bitcoin has been the best performing asset for a decade. Everyone has their hustle ?

Not everyone that will pass away will be a boat owner ( hopefully) so the proportion of the 1.5% deceased might be 5% of the 1.5% which is not a lot really.
But now you mention it--- there is a nice Hanse in our marina & if the owner starts coughing !;)(y)££££££

The panic buying of food and loo roll, creating a shortage in the 'just in time' supply chain illustrates clearly how fragile modern life is.

Personally if I thought this was the 'end of days' scenario some perceive it to be I wouldn't be stretching out my time eating Asda value tomatoes, toilet roll and dried pasta.

I'll be on my boat with my lovely plus 1 eating freshly caught Sea Bass before dipping into the (well stocked) drinks locker and bonking.

Boat value/coronavirus....sorry, it's not for sale!

Think Waterworld.

Good point, I guess if I'd spent £35K or so on a car 15 years ago I'd be lucky if it were still worth even £5K so I'm trying to maintain that perspective with my boat, that's thankfully not for sale yet
When I saved up the cash to buy my first expensive boat, about 20 years ago, all my colleagues were buying dotcom shares.
I only lost 'some' money on the boat.

I used to work for Cisco in the dotcom era. Sadly my luxury retirement fund was obliterated when their stock went from $85 to $9 !
Luckily I had cashed some options in prior which is how I came to own a J44...
