Hi all you technoheads out there.
Can anybody tell me what sort of ampege the electro magnetic clutch on a KAD32 supercharger should be pulling.
I have had a problem with the relay burning out and with the magnet on the bench it appears to be pulling through
about 16 amps. I am not an electrician but that seems a bit excessive to me.
Any comments/advice would be much appreciated.

Take it from me I've fitted hundreds over the years , always when fitting a new relay fit a new clutch at the same time , that's why the relay has failed , the coil goes to ground . Did two last week.

Hi been a while since this post but finally got new clutch, relay and just to be on the safe side a new trip switch, fitted them yesterday and clutch cutting in as soon as engine starts. cutting out at 2500 as it should. According to the manual I have there is a screw in the relay to adjust revs but I think that only works on the 'drop out'.
There is also a censor on the fuel pump but that only works on kick down according to book. Any ideas.

Sounds like the throttle position sensor on the fuel pump. Try in plugging the sensor and see if it cuts in and out at the correct revs.

For the record I think the clutch draws around 4 - 5 amps on a 12 volt system.
