Well thanks for all the info,I showed the pics and info to the wife(Spanish) and she said "I see you more as a Macwester26" I dont know why I bother!!!!
I wish you could have told that to the skipper of the French one we had caught up with by the time we reached Les Hanois on a James Cook series race , back in the late 70's,from Cowes to St. Malo after about 18 hours from setting off at 1900 hours the previous night.
We had a Stephen Jones 1/2 tonner and a proven winner to boot, but he'd done well to keep ahead in a fleet of 40+ boats until then.
Actually he stayed ahead a while longer as we thought he was bigger(deeper) than he was and we followed him behind the Les Hanois light through the archipelago of rocks- unfortunately his draught was shallower, had we but known it, and we struck a rock with our keel which slowed us up for a bit!
Well yes but I did originally say that I took mine from Falmouth to the Isles of Scilly several times and was impressed with it's seaworthyness. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The one with the chimney sticking out Pete's head shows my level of photography skills.
Yes. Legal action would be understandable, you never know who might be trawling the interweb looking for a short curly haired boat owner with a chimney on his head. There are some strange people out there. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Yes all healed. I think I am being quite kind though when I suggest that the coffee was to blame. I think that you know deep down inside that it was your fear of the ship on the horizon that caused you to panic!
I know a website where you could post all your COLREGS queries..... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
