ECF Supper

Excellent do as usual :)

I have been feeling a bit guilty :o that, when sailing endeavours where being applauded, that I didn't speak up for Sean and Pauline (sitting on end of the kids table) who, in their fine ship May based in Titchmarsh, sailed round Britain and Ireland clockwise via the Orkneys this year. I seem to have dropped the link to their blog. Great effort by a lovely couple.

Wonderful evening and well done Clive for the organisation. WE had a fabulous sail back ro shotley too - what a great weekend .

Thanks to Clive for inviting me up to sail Sirenia on Friday. We really enjoyed it as usual.

I wonder if any of the Lithuanian Mead was drunk?:p

As has been said a great evening.
I think that this is another venue to use again at some stage.
£11.00 a head for 3 courses. Great value.
Thanks to all who attended.
Thanks to Moragna and FullCircle for organising the Prize giving and supplying the prizes.

I am informed by an authority on the subject that Sirenia can now claim the Evolution 25 record for the most people seated in the saloon for post supper drinks.
12 in total.
Party dispersed at 1:45ish.

I can independently confirm 12.

Glayva was certain that we would sink through the overwhelmed cockpit drains.

I got up on Sunday morning with a little headache and thought about sampling it. But decided it should wait for 'a special occasion'. The last time I did that with a miniature half of it evaporated away and that was only 40% - 50% mead will probably be well gone before the next Jester Challenge, when I thought arrival in Newport would be worth trying the Lithuanian mead. I did have a lot of bees following me to Paglesham. A wonderful sail - never running out of wind and the tide with me all the time.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would like to thank Sirenia for organising it and for the cups of tea and the crowded party afterwards. I agree with Clive I thought the meal was exceptionally good value for money. Also Morgana for being so hospitable with cups of tea and more importantly the heating was wonderful.
