Last time we went there, Gordon got food poisoning and swore never to go back. I should be able to persuade him, though. Count us in.

Avoid the mussels, though.

In Water today

QUOTE from MoodySabre. You might be in the water by then.

Very droll!

A very enjoyable but poorly timed visit to Australia got in the way of boating plans this year. Quite unreasonably, my niece chose a wedding date that took no account of the UK sailing season. By all accounts, I didn't miss out on much good sailing weather!

After several days of intensive effort including new stern gland, new mast-head wind gauge, anti-fouling and hull polishing, Bonsella went in the water today. Luckily, she did not fill with water through the new stern gland (which I could not test before) and just needs the sails hanking on now. I have however forgotten how to sail since last October.

Blasted bottom

i saw a very clean and tidy "bonsella" monday while i was down working on "micaralee" , i take it you didnt get her bottom blasted ?.

Other matters intervened with the bottom blasting plan. I ended up giving the hull a fairly thorough scrape and wet/dry rub down that improved the surface finish somewhat. However, the blasting job will have to be done sometime.

Sails on and first sail tomorrow - I hope.
