Does anybody on the EC forum have a Mk1 Cornish Crabber - or know somebody who has - and would be willing to let us have a look in the cabin?

We're thinking of getting a Mk 1 perhaps in a couple of years, and wonder if we are building our plans around something which when we go for it the cabin was too small.

We're at Titchmarsh, and was going to arrange to look at the Mk1 which was on brokerage there when we came back from holiday, but unfortunately it's now been sold. Also don't really want to put out somebody & pretend to be interested in buying now & waste their time.

Thanks Dave.

Is is OK though to go and look, pretend to be the interested couple, without any intention of actually buying? Or is this what people when trying to work out what type of boat to buy next.

There's one at Burnham for sale, was one on the Deben a few weeks ago, I just feel a bit of a cheat to put somebody out without any intention to buy immediately.

Go for it Ian - most people expect a few tyre-kickers.

Alternatively you could tell the owner that you've read about and seen pictures and think it is for you but would he mind showing you the boat and telling you about them. He might be flattered.

Dave lives within a stones throw of me literally - Dave have you got a contact number for the owner? If not then I could go that way on my way to the boat on Friday. I shall try to resist a trip to Bary's emporium :)

Ian - if you do go there then a visit to Dauntless chandlers (cash or cheque only) - some say that you should take a wheelbarrow.....:D

If the chap at Benfleet YC would show me over (happily provide a bottle etc) be very interested. I did check the For Sale section of Benfleet YC for a number but the sale wasn't listed there.
Dave if you could get the number I'll contact him.
