I have got a 12 yr old Eberspacher D4L that cuts out after about 10 mins of operation. It doesn't shut-down properly by blowing cool air though, it just shuts off when it gets hot.

The glow plug is nice and clean, and although it smokes a bit when you first turn it on, it looks to be in excellent condition. Any idea's?

Thanks...

Check the air intake. Mine did that when the air intake was blocked by hair&dust from new carpet. (I moved the intake to a cockpit locker)

Not sure if this will help, I have the Ebberspacher water and heating system, on this if the voltage drops to below a certain voltage my system switches off.

It sounds like you may have a blown gasget or the glow plug needs changing, I suggest you call my Dad 'Rodders' on 01483 235401. He is a truck specialist and a Eber agent and should be able to help you.
