Hopefully we will have a photo!!
I have a few of these modulators but cant find any diagrams or info on Espar or in any of the heater manuals.
They have their own thermostat and would make a nice simple switch/modulator if I could just understand the wiring.
By tracing round the circuit I have been able to get one working but am not entirely sure how the thermostat is wired so as to ignore the heaters thermo and use the one in the modulator.
On the unit shown on the ( hopeful photo) I have wired it as follows
1 is 24 vpositive, 8 is the yellow ( trigger wire), 12 is the earth for the LED,
11 is slate/red ( to heaters thermo?) and 9 is brown/white ( thermo)
4 does not seem to go anywhere, the circuit board has provision for some resistors but nothing fitted.
13 I guess will take the grey ( external thermo in the modulator unit) I cant quite work out the circuit but guess the red/slate on 11 is removed and the grey connected to 13.
Has anyone more info on these modulators please I guess that one down side is if you want a 'cabin' thermo you will have to mount the whole unit where you want to sense optimum temperature.
It would be nice to see the range of eber modulators/timers but I have yet to find a comprehensive guide, even the names seem confusing!!
