Roger,

I'm not close to Lincon, but if it's a D4 mine did the same. Result was a new ecu needed. Not going to help you on a cold night. Sorry.

It sounds like you have some capability to investigate yourself if you've changed the glow plug and you've spotted there's a hot wire (as posted on the Sealine forum). Check this out (go to stage 1, no power), it may give you a clue as to were to look next e.g. fuses may be a good start especially if you've spotted wiring getting hot or could be the temperature control as stated in the fault finding guide. First thing to check is whether there's power getting to the unit, then take it from there

I had the same symptoms with mine. Problem was caused by low output from battery with insufficient power to start. With mine, if you kept trying to start the system logs faults and required a reset by someone with the right knowledge. Changed the battery, had it reset and now works fine. In my case when I tried to start after being off the boat for a few weeks, I had not turned the battery charger on. First thing I do now when boarding is to turn it on before doing anything. Another lesson learned. I think later systems have a reset function within the temperature control unit, so check what functions are in the controller.
