Do it......... well worth the effort including the grazed knuckles and the after effects of wriggling deep down into the various orifices of your boat!

I have just completed an installation and am very happy. My main suggestion is to plan, plan and plan again. Once you have your unique requirements clear in your mind just take it methodically. There are 4 major domains to sort; the heater itself, ie location, finding a good holding/mounting position,; the exhaust run - free from flammable ingredients; the electrical side; and finally the ducting to deliver the nice warm air. I found the latter the most awkward, but as I said earlier each installation is unique to the boat.

Just remember to make sure you have all the tools you need, otherwise it can be a long drive back to the house to get them should you forget - Now, How do I know that?!!

Thanks,
What size of hole cutters did use, I suppose 60mm for ducting, and what size for exhaust ?

Assuming a small heater where 60mm duct is appropriate you will need a 65mm hole saw (80mm if you are lagging it), exhaust skin fitting is dependant on which one you use but it will have a reccommended hole size and angle (if needed) in the pack.

Exhaust fitting is second hand, I have picked up on boat jumble last year, looks like same size as original Eberspacher.
Just wandering how do you make a hole for it as it's not a round hole...

I have just done mine, you drill a pilot hole at the same angle as the fitting. Then you follow the angle of the pilot hole with your hole cutter. The eber kit provides a 6mm rod that you use in you hole cutter instead of its central drill bit.

Is it this acceptable

Is it this acceptable with exhaust to be a bit longer?
it's a bit longer so I thought, why not extra loop won't harm, or am I wrong here?
( I have tried to upload photo, but I don't know how)

Hi David,
Thank you so much for your opinion, it's so much appreciated!
That curly pipe is just little bit bigger than solid exhaust pipe, shall just tighten up with two, three jubilee clips (exhaust end had a proper fitting)?
The solid pipe also had a 2mm hole just on the bend which I have blocked with stainless still screw.
Thanks so much!
